Single owner, first JLUR off the lot in 2018. Screen began delaminating about 2 years ago but was an annoyance not safety issue. It is now a safety issue. Ghost touches provide for a VERY distracting driving situation. Going down the highway at 70 and have the rear camera kick in, kinda distracting. Calling 911 frequently, a waste of emergency operators time. Calling my son 20 times a drive on the phone because the ghost must like talking to him, distracting me from driving. turning on the heat to high, flashing crap all over the screen. Distraction. Turning off my carplay Nav map while driving - major distraction. How is this not a recall?

Ive gotten through all of the other annoying model year 1 issues with creaks, bad welds, 999,999 miles, 800 degree temperatures, etc but this delamination one is more than a PITA for sure. Safety issue, IMO.

If you're comfortable disassembling electronics, the screen is actually pretty easy to replace and can be bought for $150-$300 from various manufacturers. In 2018 and 2019, you were stuck with one and they were upwards of $600.

Aside from having to pry it out of its metal housing, the connection is just a ribbon cable.
