Did the spare 285/75/17 fit on your stock carrier? I also have a JLUW and from what I gather its very close. Options are to pressure down and/or heat gun /press down on the plastic sport bumper where it rubs to fit it.
It did not.

It rubbed on both sides. I already had a plan to replace the stock bumpers so I wasn't too concerned.

Ok, so it fit (tailgate closed) but the tire just rubbed on both sides of the bumper contact point(s)? I'm thinking pressuring down to about 32# might be enough to totally clear the bumper. The other option is to heat gun it while pressing down on the bumper contacting points.

I'm running 285/75 Toyo open country AT/III on stock sport S bumper on factory wheels and run 30-32 psi and it brushed slightly but could still open the tailgate just had to work at it harder a bit, well worth the rub for those tires....😉 I will say thought that after a few thousand km of wear, its all good now...😂

I don't recall - and i sold the Wrangler a while ago, BUT I'm thinking 22 - 25 psi. I backed off enough just to clear the bumper, but wanted enough psi that if i had to use the spare it would fine to drive on (till I could get more air).

Thanks. I might just use a Rough Country relocation bracket, only about $80. The install is straight forward. Did you re-calibrate the speedo after the 34" tires were on?

No recalibration, an unscientific test had this off less than 2 mph @ 70, therefore good enough.

No issue with rubbing on easy to moderate trails. I've since lifted the Willys to be able to tackle some more technical trails and I am having no problem on those either.

Madd, do you have black lug nut caps on and if so what size, link?

Nope. What you are seeing is a full set of Gorilla #96644BDX wheel locks which includes 23 locks plus the key socket - 5 lugs per wheel on the ground plus 3 locks for the spare.

I got them from Amazon.

Very nice, but 200 bucks, ouch! I like the acorn shape, so it doesn’t show any exposed silver from the OEM rim with these new black lugs?

Nope. No silver is showing.

When I got them, with a coupon and discount code, I got the full set for $129 and shipping was free as I have a Prime account.

I found a set for about 150, so not too bad considering inflation. Do you know the torque specs, if not I'll research it?
