Ordered the electric PSC pump today. This will be going in my 392. I'm running 40's and curious if anyone else has experience with the pump! Thanks in advance

Interested. Looking forward to seeing if it's a reworked factory pump or altogether different. Maybe a RAM pickup pump?

The apex steering boost kit is half the price and i bet it's the same thing. Higher pressure pump via blow off valve.

I wonder if PSC did anything to the pump besides increasing the output pressure via the control valve? If not, the PSC pump is way overpriced. The lower price Apex kit seems to be a better choice with the pressure being adjustable. With either, the pump needs to be removed.

Apex seems to have some working connection to PSC. Maybe PSC uses Apex pressure relief springs and buys a higher volume pump from a Gladiator or Ram or sumpin'.

I installed the apex kit. Tough install in a tight space. I do notice a change at standstill and slow speed in 4lo

I pulled the pump, IIRC. The cooler and hoses took more time than the pump end.

Same here the cooler was the challenge, but i do like it's location over the psc kit.

That being said the psc kit looks easy to install by comparison.

Yeah, I"m not sure if I'm going to a PSC kit eventually or not. I have been considering going from 37s to 38s and a long arm... but it just keeps going and going and going

I think that is something a lot of people don't consider. Once the 1st mod happens it's a real rabbit hole. Hard to stop like smoking cigarettes or something...

I have a hydro assist. Lee Power Steering rebuilt my existing power steering gear and welded on AN ram ports for $500....utilizing stock pump......Lee Power Steering also sells hoses, rams, coolers, and filters. I have been running it for 4 yrs now......on 40's.

PSC is go to for offroad quality WRT power steering, I have one in my 73 Bronco. Their fluid is a little goofy but never had issue

Sounds like a good option. I've done similar in the past and it worked great but not as great as the PSC. But it was far far better than stock in the rocks

Update; I backed out and went with the traditional style pump. After talking to a few people it seemed like the best route for what I'll be doing. Sorry if anyone was hoping to hear the updates on how it worked out! PSC was great to work with on it

I feel like I'm the only person in the world with a stock Wrangler...and it has scratches on it.
