Hi everyone,

I have a 2023 Jeep Wrangler Sahara in boring black with halogen headlights. After hitting a deer that I didn't see until it was just a few feet away, I've decided that it's time to upgrade my headlights.

I'm stuck between two Mopar part numbers: 82219141AA and 55112879AF. The latter is cheaper and can be purchased used on eBay, but I'm not sure if it's compatible with my Wrangler.

I've considered more affordable aftermarket options like Oculus, and Tactik, which seem easy to install based on Quadratec videos. Suparee is also an option that would allow me to keep the same brand throughout the entire lighting setup in my Jeep, but I'm not entirely sure I can trust their quality, and I've always preferred the OEM look.

Can anyone share their experiences or advice on which part number I should go for? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

It looks like the first part number is for a kit that uses the OEM LED headlights, It has all the needed parts for plug and play. The second part number is for an individual headlight.

Might be worth upgrading to LED, and depending on region might be also worth looking at ones with a heating element for the cold/snowy weather.

The Mopar OEM LED headlights are outstanding. That said, I ran the Oracle Oculus on my ‘18 until the day I traded it in. IF I were to swap my OEMs out for something it would be those.
The light is bright and clean, very sharp cutoff and throws well down the road when adjusted correctly.
You really can’t go wrong with either the OEMs or the Oracle Oculus set up.

If I install the Oculus, do I need to get the dealership to flash anything or program the Jeep to recognize LED?

I just purchased a set of almost new (Dealship lot take offs from a 2023 on eBay for $459.99) the part numbers are right side :68596460AA and left side :68596461AA. These are the black out version - the inside projector is black with a black ring. I think the silver version is left side 55112879AF and right side 55112878AF

I've considered Diode, as well. I'm not sure I can justify spending that much money, though.
You have a point, I have tried others and quickly switched out of them. Didn't want to mention it before.
