I bought some steel bumpers from motobilt that are being powder coated right now. I'm looking to get some D rings for the front and rear bumper. I wanted them for recovery purposes and also in red because I like the they would look.

Does anyone know of any good ones? Ones that wont fade or rattle?

I was looking at these but they dont say the specs on them

Standard for 3/4" shackles is 4 3/4 ton WLL(9500 lbs). Those are a great bang for the buck option. Nothing fancy, but they will work just fine.
As far as rattles... buy some rubber isolators or make your own for $2. Given a few years they probably will fade, but at that price point just buy some new ones.

A group that does training on offroad recovery recommended I buy these:

Depending on rating, they’re around the same price as the Smittys. I don’t worry about noise as I don’t leave them on the Jeep. They’re in my recovery bag along with my rope.

any 3/4 inch shackle will work, but i would try to only purchase ones made in the USA, since chinese steel is weak. i have plenty that i purchased for about 10 bux each.

these are the new kind, since i've dropped so many screw pins in the mud, only to search for them for 20 minutes, so i'm thinking of picking up a few of these to keep in my recovery bag. i will keep the screw shackles on the jeep for quick and easy access.

although they retail for $75CDN, they are worth it in sheer strength alone.

Like others have said any good quality standard 3/4" will be fine, don't but into the super expensive looking ones

So for rattle they all will, but you can but generic isolators or run your winch line through them and tighten them.

Fading just hit then with a raffle can

But bet for fading and rattle prevention and falling of the highway is to just stick them in your recover bag and hook them up at the trail head

Technically the Van Beests aren't made in the USA. But I'll take independently validated shackles from The Netherlands made by a company that only makes hooks, shackles, and chains: http://www.vanbeestusa.com/
