It's simply advertising to attract tourists and as the article says “give them something to talk about when they get home. Put it in the category of " Home of the world's biggest hamburger.” or “World’s biggest bluest sky.”

Sometimes life is like a magic show, you just have to “suspend disbelief” for a few minutes and enjoy the ride…

Long Beach Island, NJ. Beaches are typically open 9/1-5/15 but with staggered schedules based on bird nesting seasons. Permit required.

We live in NJ and like going to Island Beach State Park. Only allowed to drive on the beach if you are fishing. Rod holders credit: We have a couple on my front bumper but recently got some exposed Racks crossbars and I am liking their rod holder accessory. Also works great with the awning!

Silver Lake State Park Sand Dunes in Mears, Michigan. Jeeps flood the place on weekends. Water Holes, Giant Hills, Water Holes and trails through the wooded hills. C’mon up to Pure Michigan for lots of different ways to use your Jeep.

Out all day on Sandy Neck - ranger tells me they will be closing beach to ORV right around Path #2 tomorrow with hopes of only being closed for a "few weeks"...plovers win again Had both Jeeps on the beach today. (wife's GC) For those unfamiliar that will mean the majority of Sandy Neck Beach will be off limits to ORV starting tomorrow - per ranger installing more poles & ropes. Always best to check the Sandy Neck Beach website "Beach Status" page to make sure before heading out.

Nice pictures. Hopefully Sandy Neck will be closed for just a few weeks for you. Race Point beach will be closed from May 30 to August 11, 2025 because of the plovers. It could open sooner, it all depends on the birds.
