Wheel spacers
I see you changed the title accordingly. LOL

I do not have experience with wheel spacers. From what I am gathering, you should be fine as long as you follow the install instructions and check torque specs occasionally.

Just installed 2" wheel spacer today. Like my Rubicon wheels but wanted a more aggressive stance...done! I will check them in 500 miles per product directions.

I ran Synergy 1.75" wheel spacers for about 20K miles before I upgraded wheels. I had zero issues with them. I would stay away from ebay and Amazon knock-offs, but that is just me. Synergy and Spidertrax are the two I would look into as they seem to be the most "tried and true".

1. Torque them to specification and use orange or blue Loctite (not red) on the hub studs.
2. Recheck the torque every 5K
3. Retighten if needed

If you follow the above, I would be surprised if you any issues whatsoever.

There are those who will say that spacers put more stress on the axles. That is true in part, but no more stress than the same offset wheels will. If you could weld the spacer to the wheel it will be the same stress as 0 offset wheels--provided you are adding 1.75" to +44 offset stock wheels.

I know I am hijacking op's thread but I need to order some myself. I don't need a full 1.75" spacer though... will a 1.25 spacer go on JLU sport just fine without any stud cutting or modifying? My Rubicon wheels with 35's are rubbing my LCA's so I just need to gain the Rubicon axle width back.

You should be fine. I have 1.5" Bora spacers on mine and they work perfectly. The JL factory wheels have pockets for the studs if they protrude slightly past the spacers.

I recommend first measuring your studs to confirm how far they will protrude past the 1.25" spacer, then measure the wheel pocket to make sure.

Awesome idea, I will see if I can't get them measured tonight and get an appropriate set ordered.

Bora makes high quality parts for sure. I have had mine for over 3 years and they have been great. I have 1.25" and the studs fit the OE wheel pockets with plenty of room to spare.

That's fantastic news... I really didn't want to have to use anything bigger, I didn't want too much poke outside the fender. Thanks for sharing that
