I moved to 315/70/17 with my last set of tires. I felt confident in my homework. True enough they do not rub for daily driving with stick wheels and stick suspension.

I’ve also found they do well articulating and not rubbing fenders. However while sound my rattle can work I keep finding that at full articulation and turned to full lock of the wheel I do run on the lower control arm and sway bar. It’s enough to run the paint off.

I know the solution is either new wheels or wheel spacers. I haven’t ever used wheel spacers and I don’t really like the idea of it. So that brings me to wheels.

This is what I’ve found: I want them to be close in weight to the stock wheels. So steel is out. I want them to me cost effective, but not cheap. All this and normally I’m excited for a mod, but I can’t get myself to pull the trigger. Anyone else find wheel replacement hesitation?

I would get the Method 703 bead grip wheels with the +25mm offset. That way you stay near stock offset and aren’t moving the wheels way out. https://www.methodracewheels.com/products/703-matte-black?variant=39290131808317

You can get excited about them because with the bead grip technology you can air them way down (like 8 psi) without losing a bead, but have none of the hassles of bead locks.

Wheel hesitation is real. I thinks it’s because there are so many to choose from. Once you find the set that are the right specs and you love the look of on a Jeep you’ll be excited about the purchase.
If you’re not excited about the above set, keep looking until you are.

Another vote for Method 703's although I'm using a -12 offset. So much lighter than traditional beadlocks and street legal. Also have Methods on my truck. Quality is top notch.

I also have a Rubi in sting grey, got any additional pictures? Was looking around at different wheels and got overwhelmed at too many choices but those Method’s look sharp! Would love to see stance also with the -12 offset. Stock suspension?

Here you go - no lift yet, probably going with Clayton 1.5 plus Fox 2.5 shocks. No rockcrawling - just forest trails.

Thanks! I'm still extremely happy with the wheels and the Sting Gray/Bronze combo. My wife isn't a fan for some reason, but it's not bad enough that she won't ride with me...
Glad she is still down to ride with you lol! Love it though honestly one of my favorite looks!

I've been very happy with my Rocktrix wheels so far as well, and even happier after working with @CampsiteCarbon to help develop the replacement center caps for them! That's my wheel/tire in his pics, I still need to get everything cleaned up and take some pics with my Jeep emblems that I added.

Awesome post, thank you! My wife wants Jeep badges on her Rocktrix wheels and these center caps will make it a LOT easier than modifiying the Rocktrix center caps.
