I moved to 315/70/17 with my last set of tires. I felt confident in my homework. True enough they do not rub for daily driving with stick wheels and stick suspension.
I’ve also found they do well articulating and not rubbing fenders. However while sound my rattle can work I keep finding that at full articulation and turned to full lock of the wheel I do run on the lower control arm and sway bar. It’s enough to run the paint off.
I know the solution is either new wheels or wheel spacers. I haven’t ever used wheel spacers and I don’t really like the idea of it. So that brings me to wheels.
This is what I’ve found: I want them to be close in weight to the stock wheels. So steel is out. I want them to me cost effective, but not cheap. All this and normally I’m excited for a mod, but I can’t get myself to pull the trigger. Anyone else find wheel replacement hesitation?
