2020 JLUR now has a 2” lift and I’m trying to decide between the 285x 75x 17 or the 35x11.5x 17 Toyo Open Country AT3. Jeep has factory steel bumpers. Jeep is my every day driver as well as trail rig when I can get out.
I want to use the stock tire carrier as well. The 35’s weigh about 62 lbs. and the 285 about 60lbs.
For those who run these size tires, do they fit the spare tire carrier without issue? I understand I may need to raise the 3rd brake light.
The stock tires are about 51lbs. Not sure 10 more pounds will destroy the hinges.
Please share your thoughts and experience.
