Please help.... I was trying to remove my backup camera from the OEM spare tire carrier as I am replacing it. Me being awesome, I stripped it. I was able to get it out with pliers, heat, and elbow grease, but now I need a new one to hold the backup camera into the new tire carrier. It is the bolt that is a t25 torx head, but what is it called? The googles (or maybe the way that I googles) isn't helping. I have included pics of both where it came from and the bolt itself. If someone can just tell me what it is called (or if M8x1.25x52 seems right?) that would be great. I live an hour away from the nearest hardware store, so don't want to drive that far just for them to not have it, I would rather order one online. Thanks for your help!

I searched a few Mopar parts sites but no luck. Size and length may help. If it's slightly less than 1/4" it's probably an M6 bolt.

Just take the screw to the store with you and you can match the diameter, length and thread pitch using the screw.

At least that's all I've ever done, then I know for sure I have an exact match.

Yep decent hardware stores have thread gauges hanging nearby to use to get diameter and pitch sorted.

Any chance you found the bolt part number? Just did the same thing and stripped it! I have to give this stock spare carrier back to the dealer tomorrow to go on my trade in, hoping I can find a part number for them to order or I’m gonna try Ace in the morning. Those damn bolts were on there good!!

I had the exact same issue. After scouring the internet I found out it’s a M6X1.0X25 button head flange screw with a T25 Torx driver. All the ones I found on McMaster Carr came in a T30 drive though. This is the closest thing I could find on mopar.com

Part number: 6508611AA

Anyway, hopefully this helps the next person. Also, if you are hard up for one. I wound up swapping the bolts on the camera fan, they were a match.
