I stopped reading after family deal and start paying loan off after graduating... If you borrowed money from family, then I would put paying them back priority over anything else.

But to answer your question. Go with camping gear, as you will be thankful for the experiences over trying to make an already capable vehicle only slightly more.

Plan trips and get out and do fun stuff. See where your enjoyment, or forward progress, was hindered then spend money there. Don't spend money to solve problems that you don't yet have. Be the guy who actually gets out and builds experience and memories. Then, make deliberate gear and upgrade choices based on your actual needs, not hypothetical ones. Enjoy!
