I typically get 15.7 (according to the VIC) in my bone stock JTR. I'm not ashamed to want either more power or better fuel economy. Having the worst of both worlds is frustrating. Perhaps it's these hills in Western PA.
It sounds like the Willys will be fine for you. My former JLUWD took me crazy places, unlocked. Elephant Hill, the Maze District, and many other sticky situations.
I actually view the Willys transfer case positively as I have desired to go a hair faster in 4-LO (without always switching...
Mopar lift gave me 3-4" on 21 JLUWD. I added an adjustable front trackbar and some rancho geo brackets and it was a great combo. Since I still had the plastic bumper my front was actually a little too high. Reverse rake. So I went with longer front swaybar end links too. Kept breaking the Mopar...
Does the 4XE get the option for XR/35's in 2024? I can't seem to find that answer anywhere. How about the new rear axle on the rubicons? Or is the full float only with 35's?
Crickets from Jeep. I'll update this thread if I hear anything else.
On a side note, I was able to speak directly to Matt by phone a few times when this was al playing out and he was great to work with. Since that part of Utah is not really his patch, I went out of my way to encourage him to...
We were traveling with a Land Rover who bailed us out, although most of our personal belongings had to stay with the jeep. Miraculously, we had service at the exact spot of the breakdown but not service anywhere else. I did have a Garman in reach that I used to communicate with my brother back...
In an effort to document the event with Jeep I went through Chrysler Roadside assistance to get the tow set up. I figured this might be my best path to some potential future reimbursement. Chrysler then contacts tow companies for bids. Therefore, no one came back to me after the fact for time...
New thread with the recovery videos.

Unfortunately, my Jeep was the subject of Matt's latest video. You can learn the details of my reoccurring starter issues here on this thread.
Matt's video:
This was a once-in-a-lifetime trip with my father that turned into a worst-case-scenario event in one of the most remote places in...
Just received the first contact from my case manager. 10 days after initial case number was created. She's going to call the service manager who's been handling this. Fingers crossed. After 4 starter replacements my hope is that my service manager wants my jeep Lemon'ed just as much as I do.
Once you see the video and where he had to tow me out of you will see how 5K (I did not pay that much) would have been completely reasonable. He came from Hurricane, Utah entered the dirt road at Hite, Utah then into Canyonlands several hours and THEN towed me back out, then transported my...
Working on the buy back but they literally won't call me back. I have a case number but no case manager. One of the lady who did answer the phone said she could see in the internal notes that I've already been denied even though nobody told me that yet. I think she spilled the beans...
They replaced so many things during the 3 previous incidents. Starters, relays, PCM, I would hope that they replaced the solenoid but I really don't know. Thanks for the advice. Now that I chewed through 4 starters how bad do you think my flywheel looks?
