I would have the service writer pull the actual history to see the repair order for that one.

If there are other jeeps without that blemish on their carfax you are considering, you may just want to move on.

I was the first owner and dumped it. I dodged a bullet thanks for the info guys. I bought a 2 door 3.6l instead. This Willy’s It went to auction across the country after the second owner dumped it here in NE.
I like the 2 door 6cylinder much better.

Don't worry, the OP was not going to buy it because of this revelation

Thus, the OP is just searching his old Jeep and then telling us how much better the 3.6l motor is. Just so everyone knows, the 3.6l is better as the 2.0l grenades the motor. I thank the OP for this info. now we can all get rid of our 2.0l jeeps and get the 3.6l one. They are better and never have problems.

no I’m not comparing the engines I just asked a question. The 2.0l is peppy. I’m not a mechanic. I just saw that and asked. I still get carfax updates as I owned it first. I guess they send the problem Jeeps to auction maybe?
