What does everybody do for a living?

with the name like Zorba you better be a good dancer too
I'm like anyone else - better than some, worse than others. I'm known for my veilwork (dancing with a "veil" - a large swath of silk) and finger cymbal playing. And yea, I was a Greek Folk dancer years back too, used to teach it as well. Which is, strangely enough, where I picked up the name "Zorba" - given to me by my late Father in law.

My last job was a barista for Starbucks. I made Lead then adopted a dog who had separation anxiety and barked while I was gone. My neighbor complained and reported me to HOA and my dog never stopped barking. Realized that situation wasn’t going to work for us so quit my job, rented out my condo and moved in with my sister. My dog got his way and I am living off the rent which is great.

Mechanical Maintenance Technician at a Nuclear Power Plant, however, looking to relocate towards the end of the year, along with relocating may be starting a different career, who knows. Maintenance/Operations of power plants is all I have known, was in Uncle Sams Underwater Canoe club out of High School.
We're in the industry of a dying breed.

I have a new job to stay living. I am a decontamination employee at my home. My wife works at a correctional facility that the corona virus is flowing through. There was one case last week, Monday there was 19 positive prisoners in the housing unit that she manages now. Mind you, she is not a housing unit manager, She is an intake clarification processor, but all of the prisoner counselors are sick.

So I am decontaminating her when she gets home.

Stay safe and I've seen a bunch of stories back home from the Free Press and other publications of how bad it is getting there. I just read something where Detroit released inmates due to the virus.

Is that code for something? :)
Yup, It stands for park the car in the garage, have her get out of the car, strip down and put all of her cloths in a bag, seal the bag, Then wipe down her shoes, phone, purse, watch and rings with disinfectant, while she wipes her hands and skin that was exposed while at work. Then she go in a showers, and I wipe down her car with disinfectant, seat, door handles, radio, steering wheels, and other controls that she may have touched. I then disinfect myself and shower.

There has already been one of the prison employees that died yesterday from Covid-19. The real shame is that today he is eligible for retirement. The department treats their "essential" employees like disposable employees.

Ain't that the damn truth. It's a shame that it applies to most public service and private corporations. Sorry about your loss.
