I bought some cheap roll up bags from amazon, and then threw them both into a milwaukee packout. Keeps them from rattling around while on washboards.

Sometimes Amazon shipping impresses me. I ordered this tool roll after 6 PM last night, and it showed up at 11 AM this morning. I like the tool roll, it seems high quality, and the black canvas and brown leather look nice. We'll see how it works.

Thanks everyone, it was fun to look through all the suggestions you gave. I decided to continue to use the Blue Ridge Overland Gear tool bag I am already using for my JLR. So, I'll keep that in my Jeep and use this new Welkinland tool roll in the new Compass.

I have a small tool kit about the size of an ipad but about 2-3 inches thick. Used to pack it all the time for road trips but honestly have never used it other than piece of mind to have it with me

Unfortunately, I have used my tools. I hit a pot hole so hard and deep on the Dalton hyw coming back form the Arctic Ocean by Dead Horse Alaska, that it broke the wheel hub assembly, destroyed the brake caliper, rotor and brake pad and damaged the RCV front axle shaft.

I rebuilt it in front yard of a girl house that I met on the internet.

Picture is of the wheel bearing ball that got thrown into the brake caliper. It also separated the knuckle from the axle. When I jacked the Jeep up, the front wheel almost fell off the Jeep. It was a $872 tow bill of the Dalton hyw.

I have two of these tucked into my rear compartments and they’ve worked very well for two years now.
