So leaving the house this morning in my ‘25 Rubicon X……when turning the steering wheel either direction, it made a weird knocking grinding kind of noise. It was better at the destination but still there. It’s too damn new for steering components to wear out. Any ideas?

Have a 2023 JL that fell under the safety recall 34B…… they inserted module into steering column. Since recall fix, I’m getting a clicking, grinding noise when turning the steering wheel. Taken jeep back to dealer twice over 5 month there is no solid fix.

It most likely stems from a slightly dry or cold-working mechanical component, such as the steering column universal joint, stabilizer bar bushings, or a loose suspension bolt — fairly common problems on new Wranglers and generally not serious.
