Not to hijack the OPs thread, but maybe a better question would be what would Jeep have to change to make you want to ditch your current JL for their updated model?

I really don’t have any idea what that would be for me. I really like the JL the way it is other than the drivers seat being a little stiff on long drives.

I love my JLR, but am also still in love with my old '97 TJ. The interior upgrades between the two are super nice...but if I'm being honest, the current off-road capability (gears, axles, suspension, axle lockers) in my old TJ would still suit me just fine. And, the romantic, nostalgic me kinda prefers the smaller body of the TJ over the JL.

The teased high output I4 turbo does look seductive from the power output perspective, however.

Normally, a mid-cycle refresh is done to help to reinvigorate sales. Wranglers are hotter than ever, so that might take away some of the motivation for Stellantis to make any significant changes.

I think you may see some limited-edition versions, some tweaks to introduce features to “keep up with the Bronco” and perhaps some previous options become standard. However, no need to tweak what is working.

The only obvious prediction is that some unlucky souls will be waiting so long for their ‘22 Wrangler they ordered in late ‘21, that they will eventually be turned into purchase orders for a ‘23.

A good Jolt to the Mid Cycle, for 2 Door;
Armorlite or Lined interior.
Removeable or sliding windows in the Hard top.
Split rear seat, so each section can be removed independently.
Manual transmission for the 2.0T.
Fold Flat passenger front seat.
AC standard, no upcharge. Don't want it ? Get credit.

Thing is, a mid-cycle redesign would have been planned for, budgeted for and scheduled long before COVID, or shortages, were even a thing.
