Warn VR EVO 10-S Rope color

Hi All,

really dumb question, apologies in advance. Trying to grab a Warn EVO Vr 10-S and keep seeing pics of both silver and black rope - some even on the same site listing. I’d prefer black so trying to figure out if that’s really a thing and (if so) how to get one.

I really think it's all the same color, dark silver black, depends on lighting I think, not sure.

FWIW, mine (a couple years old) is a dull grey/silver color.

AFAIK it's the same cable on all factory EVOs. Grey'ish but can look silverish or blackish depending upon the light. Or you can buy an aftermarket version in other colors.

Mine's in the OEM steel bumper and you can't even see it unless it's pulled for use. Or tensioning, when the OEM bumper is a PITA, as you can't tell where the wraps are going without squinting and (in my case) a good flashlight. I'm hoping it works when I need it...

Thank you both! Sounds like the dark gray is the expected color then. I like the look of the black but helps to know that I won’t rally be seeing it unless it’s in use, guessing color is the least of my concerns at that point.

Here's mine with the license plate flipped up after an outing. You tell me what color it is.

Also, the last ten or so feet is usually covered in a protective blackish plastic, to protect from sun and rough stuff.

As a side note: I order my replacement synthetic rope on Amazon. A lot of different colors, lengths, and diameter rope to choose from.
