That Jaguar third on the list might be moving to first place as soon as word that Jaguar has joined the DEI ranks spreads!

Didn't see Jeep 4Xe on the list, though.
Do they sell cars still?

Let's see...

Notoriously unreliable vehicle - Check
New units being sold for 20k under MSRP - Check
Has had multiple recalls for fires (Including an active one) - Check
PHEV/BEV - Check

These things are being traded in left and right. Their used value has tanked hard in the last year or two because of the above. The main thing is the massive cuts under MSRP that's hurting you, as the average 4XE buyer has zero idea about their reliability issues. PHEV/BEVs in general also tank in value, it's just a thing. MSRP of these things should be mid 40s fully loaded. They're so overpriced at MSRP it's crazy.

I never understood this one. They're a FWD truck, it's so silly. It's just they're so damn cheap and the small truck segment is completely barren. They sell like hotcakes. If anything I hope it makes dodge bring back the Dakota. We need to bring back small/mid sized trucks again. The F150/Silverado/Ram 1500 is outrageously large.
Maverick.

Those values seem to be the going rate. Reading the comments on these forums, not many seem to have an issue with losing 50% in a year or two. If you leased it, you're in a better spot. If you bought it, you're screwed. We bought ours and have tried to get rid of it without taking it in the bum. Jeep dealer didn't even want it when we wanted to trade it for a Wagoneer. Still have it and likely stuck with it. Lesson learned. No more hybrids and certainly no Stellantis/Jeep again.

To solve this equation, x = 0 and e = the original purchase price…. So…

🤔 4 x 0 x e = 0 🤷‍♂️

This mathematically proves 2.0 ICE > 4xe

Knowing how reliable the Wagoneer / Grand Wagoneer are, your dealership is doing you a favor there.

We need to finally get rid of that ridiculous and outdated "chicken tax" for God's sake!

Goodness. I was offered $35K for my Rubicon 4XE...I should have taken it an run. This car is such a travesty. MIne is on a recall...and I refuse to drive it until it is fixed.
That's on you. I still drive mine everyday and charge it twice a day during the week.
The recall, just like the others, is an overblown CYA until they develop a software update.

Dude, we live on the edge of a million area National forest, Uncompahgre. I am NOT going to responsible for causing a fire that could impact that national treasure. Regardless if it is a CYA and overblown, the Stellantis leadership has zero, zippo, nada, nit credibility...just ask the dealerships. If they treat the dealership like garbage what do you how do you think they are going to treat an ordinary customers. Stellantis is not an altruistic corporation. Besides....even it I had not gotten Stellantis legal to give me a loaner gratis I would not be driving the car.

This is the dumbest thing you could do. I know a guy at work that lets his teenage son drive his 4xe for Pete's sake...just wow.

The fire risk has nothing to do with whether you drive it or not so that doesn't hold water.

Upon further reflection please sell your 4xe at a massive loss and trade it for a Hyundai. The collective owner IQ of both groups will increase.

Since when is it dumb to take care of yourself....My sister died in a car crash fire. Maybe if that happen to you...you would call me dumb...but then again...you might.

So I am thinking of getting something else (Santa Cruz) and here is the values I am getting for my 2023 Sahara (power top, cold weather pack, 66k MSRP):

Hyundi Dealer: 30k
Autonation: 32k
Private offers (31, 30.5 and 34k)
Carvana $32,800
Carmax range $31-40k
Edmunds Trade In 33,721.

Discuss.
66k MSRP is irrelevant unless that's what you actually paid for it... I hope not.

Whatever loss you're looking at taking comes down to two questions, which only you can answer. Can you? And, Do you want to?

Some people will sell a Wrangler and never look back, and that's OK. If you can, and you want to, what else is holding you back?

Wow. Well I may have a lower IQ than the you, I certainly was raised better.

No I did not pay msrp.

Yes I still drive and garage my Jeep.

The recall is not overblown, but the risk based on 13 fires is very very small.

Hyundai is no longer cheap junk. 1995 called and wants its opinions back.

To me the Santa Cruz is more comfortable, brakes and handles better, quieter, get better gas mileage, is as fast, and can tow more.

I do not have anywhere to off-road and since I like to go on long road trips, a different car would be better.
