Vacuum Pump Whistle

Is it normal for a vacuum pump to whistle?
Or any other part to make this noise on my jeep?
It does on cold start and after driving one hour. It happens on cold and hot days.
comes and goes. Can this be a part about to fail?
Jeep dealer service said this sound is normal! But I don’t buy it because I do not hear cars making this noise. And even other jeeps don’t make this sound.

That very annoying. The vacuum pump is normally fairly noisy but not like that. It sounds like a bad bearing on a pulley though.

I think it is a pulley as well. Their diagnosis took 15 min since they pulled the jeep in.
they know more than I do but I don’t want a whistling jeep.

I have got a temporary fix. Dealer was wrong, this was not a vacuum pump. It was the belt, I used a tiny bit of dialectic grease to stop the noise.

Any further updates? My '23 with 5k miles does this on cold start, seems to only happen when the temps are below 30F or so.

squirt some water on the belt to see if it makes the noise. If it does that’s your issue, can be tension, humidity or a bad belt. I put some dialectic grease to fix
