Anyone else going to be there at Uwharrie this week in NC?

I'll be there with Pain Train on its maiden wheeling voyage.

Other than my tree in the front yard. Lol I had to test my front locker after melting the airline welding on my sliders.

I wish I could be there!

Man, I have to say these photos of Pain-Train do it no justice as opposed to seeing it in person.

I called all over the place looking for a ramp. No one had one. I went over to a friends place and used his loader. Lol

Gonna need to adjust spring rates and do some more tuning. I still had 3 1/2” before bottoming out the bump in the rear. Spring rate is too heavy, but it’ll do for this week.

Thanks. Needs some tweaking to get it all maxed out. Front needs an extra 1” of bump stop for these fenders and the rear needs different springs. Outside of that, no interference issues. Pretty happy with that. Oh, gotta trim that rear fender corner off before Thursday.

If you're going Sat or Sun we could join.

Just saw it's Thur-Sat and they sure are proud of that event...

I'll be there Thursday through Sat evening and then driving the hour home.

By proud, I'm assuming you're talking price. To some it's affordable training and a guided invitation to the sport. To others, it's overpriced and not worth it. I get it. I've been doing this a long time and I happily pay to go to their events. They do a good job. With that said, Uwharrie is too easy and it's pretty small. I put a long post out there a long while ago in the NC Roll Call about this subject. I won't go into it all again, but try it once and don't use Uwharrie as your only metric. The Jamboree does a fantastic job at what they do. If you're a more seasoned wheeler, you don't pay for the event to learn more about wheeling per se, it becomes a lot more about the community of people that are there for a common purpose; a community of people that don't mind paying a little for the experience and networking opportunity. It's one of those things that - It's what you make it.
