I'll be on a solo trip in southern Utah (all over - Moab, Escalante, Zion areas, etc.) Oct 6-19 and looking to join one or more others for some beginner/moderate trails. I'll be coming from SoCal, planning to do a mix of camping, hotels, etc. Let me know if you'll be in the area as well and would welcome a joiner :)

Apologies if this isn't the right place to post this (tried searching -- couldn't find a better place).

Thanks

unless the weather takes a dump, it appears I will be in Moab during that time period as well. However, camping to me is the Hampton Inn. I will stay at Red Cliffs Lodge and I’m as rookie as it gets…beginner trails for me. I planned to go next week, but an AEV build on my 2024 X was finished yesterday, and so glad I went with my gut to postpone the trip. The shop that completed the build is awesome thus far, there are always hiccups. They allowed Commercial Tire to put new tires and wheels on my X. After I picked up the vehicle, I noticed that the TPMS was not working. Anyone can overlook minor details. However, it made me think to check everything else. I discovered the tires were only inflated to 15 pounds, they should be 65 pounds, that made me look deeper. I discovered that two Lugnuts on the left front wheel were only hand tightened. During a shakedown ride today, I found the alignment is off, and there is way too much play in the steering wheel. During a short dirt road drive, it was evident the spare tire carrier is not tight enough and the LF AEV light does not have power. I am not concerned about the ladder, it is the tires and wheels that bother me. I am taking the jeep to Schwab tomorrow and although they do not realize it, the shop that did the AEV build will pay for it. For those that may be interested, I added several items not included in an AEV build, total cost, parts and labor, $24,322.

Id definitely be down to wheel with some of you but we won't be there til October 19th and heading home on the 23rd. We usually camp in Sand Flats somewhere near Fins and Things. So if things change and you end up being there a little later let let me know.

Hmm. Maybe. I might even be able to scare up someone else.

My wife and I may be down for a meet up for some easy/ moderate trails on the 6th or 7th. We are renting a jeep at the Denver airport so definitely nothing that’s going to destroy it 😬. First timers here so even after all of the research and videos it’s still a little confusing deciding where to go until we see it for ourselves. Wish I could bring my own jeep but only being there 5 days coming from Tennessee just seemed like too much driving for a short amount of time.
