Updates: Diesel, JT, Bikini

I took the Bikini plunge today. Mojito was the only other color we considered. 8 weeks: JLUS, 2.0 Turbo, Premium Top, Selec-Trac, Cold Weather, LED...We are spending our kids' inheritance and are psyched!

Awesome! Can't wait to see your pics once you've received. That's the color I want. I've seen the pics but I want to wait to see it in person.
On a side note.....Talked with someone at a local dealership the other day -- they said it was available to order even though not listing it online yet...and the best part.....another one of the sales guys popped up with...."I think the bikini color is basically the same color as what we already have on the lot there----(pointing to the ocean blue color) they just renamed it for the new year" uhh...say what?!

Nah, sales aren't scary, because it doesn't matter how clueless they are as long as they order what you tell them to. What is scary is the service departments, who you're supposed to trust for warranty work.

It's just crazy how some sales people can be so uninformed on a product they're supposed to sell. I guess they just read the "highlights" of a product (Jeep in this case) and expect/hope the customers to not be that informed on the product they are looking to buy.

Agreed---and even more is reading the posts from others here that have had to go in for work for some of the same issues and each service department is coming back w/ different solutions to the same problem.. saying this is the fix. Especially when the whole weld issue & steering issue was going on.

Hahaha! I have only met two Jeep salespeople that knew what the hell they were talking about. I describe the color as Teal/Metallic/Pearl and cannot wait for delivery. Ocean Blue is nice, but a little too much purple for me.

Thanks, the decal and pin stripes are all original from day one.
The rims and tires I got as brand new take offs, they drive great ...so smooth

They are building a few, but they are pilots only.... They are using the 2.0l engine...

Can’t wait for more info on these. Anything you can spare would be great! Just hope they aren’t doing any crazy design changes.

They are building a few, but they are pilots only.... They are using the 2.0l engine...

Saw a Golby colored Gladiator at the auto show. I herd the Gladiators are made on a second assembly line seperate from the JL line. Are the Gladiators painted in different paint booths also? Wishful thinking on my part for Golby to be reintroduced for the JLs. It would be nice to see a tan like Golby or green like Tank on the JL.

They've already said those colors will be Gladiator exclusives. That may change later in production years, but at least for the first year they are Gladi only.
