Why drill hole in washer fluid cap?

Some people have had issues with washer fluid leaking from the rear window port. Drilling a small hole in the cap seems to resolve the problem. I haven't had this issue yet.

Just got word this AM from @Quadratec After all my waiting and phone calls tracking down the order... They have “discontinued” the item. Why do I feel like I’m the one who got dropped. Lovely thing.

Well, I have done the following on the 2dr. Rubi, since yesterday at 1pm:

• 3M film applied to door sills and door hinges
• 
  
• Drilled hole in Windshield Washer Reservoir Cap
  

Note: I made my own, through, exam of the underside of the JL.... No rust and all welds look aok.

I have questions on those 2 above -

3M - where did you get this one from? is it specific for JL or just any 3M door sills and hinges? I've been wanting to do this myself.

Hole in windshield - is this because it leaks? Mine leaks! and Idk why - maybe this is the mod to fix the leak? @Rhinebeck01 thanks!

Yup, mine is cancelled too. I was told that ACE dropped them as a vendor. Wondering if they've dropped all vendors? that would suck as if you order from ace directly, they charge shipping.

Washed her up and replaced the antenna with a stubby one. It was on sale at w@lm@rt for $14.

I tried a few radio stations and it seemed pretty decent overall. I did not A/B test but I could still get radio station from about 50 miles away so I am happy. Quite frankly I am all about SXM or Android Auto so I was not really worried if it isn't great, but overall I was satisfied.

Could always return it pretty easy if you are unhappy with it.

I just ordered from northridge4x4. Product page on their site shows a 25 day delay though. Hope they don't get dropped too!

My Ace Engineering JL Rock Sliders were delivered today! WOO HOO! Can't wait for Saturday so I can install them!

Did you order them through ACE directly? I ordered them through Quadratec on 4/16 with a ship date of 5/24. I just checked today and my order was canceled with no notification. I chatted with Quadratec and they said they were discontinued. All my CS experiences with Quadratec have been garbage. I called ACE directly and they were super nice. Gave me free shipping because they no longer work with Quadratec. Hope to get them in 7-10 days.
