Looking for guidance / ideas.

Unplugged SGW cables to install Tazer Mini. Went through full programming and Tazer seems to be working as advertised. However, I cannot leave the SGW cables plugged into the Tazer for the "live" functionality. When I do, my center console controls (audio/temp) is completely blank/dead. As soon as I plug them back into their original location, everything works fine.

This leads me to believe it is my Jeep issue, not a Tazer issue.

Has anyone experienced this? Any advice on a solution?

That shouldn't be happening with the Tazer plugged in, it emulates the SGW. That does happen if you leave the connectors not connected to one or the other.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, that's not the case here. Maybe it is a Tazer issue...

That would be my guess, especially if it works plugged into the SGW.

I was wondering if 24my was the reason. A 19my should see the tazer as the sgw

Have reached out to Z Auto. Will see what they say and post back here...

yep, they're pretty good about customer service. But if you're the antsy type, like myself, you can reprogram the firmware on the tazer and remarry...and ensure you do the two sleep cycles....I have heard some strange stuff can happen if you don't do that.

Took a while for them to respond, but they ultimately recommended returning for a new unit (after UNMARRYING, rebooting and two full sleep cycles).

***Update***
Installed the replacement today and it appears to work perfectly. Must have been a defective unit and am now a very happy customer.
