Unplugging DRL lights?

Doing the fender chop. What's the trick to unplugging that connector? I've pulled the red tab.

I've pulled the red tab.

Under or near the red tab, push down and then pull.

There's a setting to disable DRL in the radio.

Not trying to disable it. I want to UNPLUG it.

Pull the red tab back. Push down on the small black piece in the center while pushing the two halves together to release tension. Then pull the two halves apart.

I'm not a master mechanic, hell not even close to a journeyman mechanic, but I've unplugged electrical connection in cars before. Tried what you said & this thing just doesn't want to come undone. New light is in place & looks great. Sure would like to be able to plug it in.

Thanks for all the help. Got it unplugged. I think I was pushing down in the wrong place. Lights look good & they work.

In all seriousness I've fought with many connectors before. If only they were all as easy as the ones for the doors
