I tried searching for this but 20 pages regarding interior and soft top rattles.

I have a rattle coming from the undercarriage when i go over a small bump. Its sounds metallic like a loose bolt, flange, attachment, skid, heat shield.... something of that nature. The noise doesn't bother me as much as the concern of something coming loose or causing excessive ware. Any ideas what it could be? Very hard to pin point from inside. I've tried pulling, shaking, and rocking each part to try to simulate when parked.

2019 JLUR with 2" mopar lift with 600 miles on it. If it persists, I can take it back to the dealer. Just looking for suggestions if anyone else has an idea. I didn't install the lift, so unsure which attachment points to check or torque specs. I tried to shake the track bars, sway bar disconnects, control arms, etc.

thanks!

I’ve been having the same issue. I recommend you take it to the dealer, hopefully you’ll have better luck than I did. I took mine in and after 8 hours, all I was told is “we can hear it, but can’t find it.”

I have same problem. Can't find anything loose underneath. Sounds like it could be a loose heat shield, bolt somewhere, etc... Driving thru town at speeds like 25mph or less, with windows down or even more, doors off, I hear it somewhat frequently. 2019 with about 4K on it, auto V6, Unlimited Rubi.

Yep! This, exactly. I crawled under and looked at everything. Can’t find anything that moves.

Found it. The passenger side bump atop extension came loose. The bolt that holds it fell off and it’s rattling around inside the spring.

After alot of internet searching, it looks somewhat common that the ball joints in the steering system and front end are often loose. Watching some videos online, mine makes the exact same sounds. Going to try and tackle this myself, as taking it to a dealer for "clicking sounds" or anything like that, in the past, has not ever cured anything for me.

I wish Jeep would write a TSB is as many as I see on other threads seem to have loose ball joints.....
