Mine did that once. Turned the jeep off and back on. It corrected itself and never came back.

It’s happened more than once now and audio also keeps randomly cutting out for a second.

I had a similar issue with Uconnect and my iPhone's CarPlay connectivity dropping out, randomly cutting out the audio. Turning it off and back on seemed to fix it for a bit, but it kept happening so I ended up resetting the Uconnect system by disconnecting the battery for a few mins which seems to have cleared up the issue so far.
i am going to have to try that next. It’s quite annoying.

I had the same problem.

First I would try a Soft Reset:
Put the start button to ACC.
Hold the power button for about 10 seconds until the screen goes dark.
Switch the start button to off.
Then open the door for a few seconds.
Close the door and switch to ACC.

If that doesn't work try a Hard Reset (data may be lost):
Put the start button to ACC.
Hold the power AND tune buttons for about 10 seconds until the screen goes dark.
Switch the start button to off.
Then open the door for a few seconds.
Close the door and switch to ACC.

Try removing the ground wire for a minuteyou will lose all your data)

Finally, a Factory Reset (you will lose all your data):
Vehicle>Settings>Factory Reset

Good luck.

appreciate the detailed response, but am I missing something? Your directions for soft and hard reset are the same.

but I will definitely try the others as the soft reset didn’t work the few times I tried it.

Brand new rig?? Make the dealer make it right!! "Try this and Try that" is not the answer.

I had the same problem. Yes, it would correct itself occasionally, but it was annoying, especially when I needed to use the GPS. I did a soft reset. I also tried a hard reset, and thankfully I had a video to document the issue. The dealer replaced the entire head unit. I've had no issues for 4 months now. 2024 Rubicon X 4Xe.

Sorry about that. Here's the hard reset:

First I would try a Soft Reset:
Put the start button to ACC.
Hold the power button for about 10 seconds until the screen goes dark.
Switch the start button to off.
Then open the door for a few seconds.
Close the door and switch to ACC.

Try removing the ground wire for a minute (you may lose all your data).

If that doesn't work try a Hard Reset (data will be lost):
Start the Jeep.
Go to Vehicle>Settings>Factory Reset
If that's not available:
Press the temperature up and down buttons simultaneously for five seconds or more.
When a menu appears, scroll to the option to reset to factory defaults.
Wait 30 seconds while the system reboots.
Switch the start button to off.
Then open the door for a few seconds after the screen goes dark.
Close the door and start the Jeep.

Not that having the dealer fix it isn't a bad idea but, they will have to send a request to Stellantis via email to get paid. Stellantis will get to that when it pleases them and they hear back from Uconnect. They will recommend the same thing. The shop will get to warranty work when they can. If you go the dealership route you need to ask for customer waiting. If they agree to that they'll check it, remove the ground, go off and do something else, then replace the ground and check it again. If it doesn't work, you'll get your Jeep back when Stellantis, Uconnect, and the dealership decide that you will.

I have had the same issue a few times, clipped the video cause I had a message popup. My typical fix, as with most things is to ignore it. Usually it resolves after a long period of the Jeep being off, around 30 minutes or more.

pays 0.2 hours to perform the radio reset. hardly worth even writing up the repair order. id just do the factory reset in the service lance and send them on their way
