I have a 2024 UConnect 5 either the 12.5” display. I noticed there is a lag when I try to use the radio display buttons or steering wheel controls to skip ahead or pause what I’m listening to. I have an iOS phone connected via BT and/or also wired USB-C connection. Is this typical?

This isn’t a showstopper issue, but more of an annoyance. Though I did have some issues with that lag when using maps. I was roadtripping through a larger city recently, and the delay caused me to miss my exit.

I’m am wondering if this is typical or a bug in my radio. I showed it to the dealership at my first oil change. Nothing found. They verified It is on the latest SW.

I had a Toyota rental recently and connected to its radio via BT and there was no lag.

I've got a 2024 but use a Samsung unfortunately. No lag like that. If i have like youtube playing the video/audio will be de-synced by about 1/3 second, but if I pause or do anything via BT it's really instant.

I'd try re-pairing the phone maybe?

I did repair the BT, but no difference. Also, my whole family is on iOS, so I don’t have the opportunity to see if it’s only an iOS issue or the lag is caused by the Uconnect.
