So it is time for my NY inspection. Running a Tazer most of the time for the auto start defeat and the boost gauge. Use JScan for tire size and tpms threshold. Took the Tazer off about two weeks ago and reconnected the SGW. it’s has been about 300 miles since I did that and one of the monitors has not reset, does it need to go through multiple regens to reset these? Carfax has logged my frustrations from last year and it was 800 miles between the first fail and finally getting it through. Thanks for the input.

Referencing your thread from last year for others background. This must be a fun annual occurrence....

Are you sure you've gone through a regen? 300 seems short. If I recall, you didn't get the GDE option for the notification message. <<< Interestingly enough, I did pay up for that and my unit defaults to a regen every 1000 miles. Assuming our GDE tunes are the same, it could be awhile if you're waiting for one.

I've always wondered from others, with the GDE tune, if they noticed this. It's like clock work (I track it with the trip). I assume it's part of the code that if soot % never approaches full, the system still regularly regens per the 1K limit.

I could smell the difference in the exhaust yesterday. Just got a scangauge to monitor oil temps, soot levels, and regens. Going to check for monitors again next week.

I get this at exactly 1000 miles. I have the scangauge2 and one of my gauges on that is DSR, or distance since regen, and it's always 1000 miles. Someone else on here said there's is always at 700 miles.
I did notice when swapping my ECM for service that the scangauge2 reading for DSR must be recorded on the ECM itself, because the number was different between the two units.

Also, in California you still pass the smog inspection even if the NMHC and particulate catalysts show not ready. it’s common for these parameters to not be ready.

I just ordered a vlinker mc+ should be here tomorrow so I can force a regen with jscan. My jeep rarely see’s the highway so the regen almost never finishes or starts.

There used to be a shop in West Orange run by a guy called “Pussy” that could get you through for a fee, but he went missing and his wife runs the place now, not sure if it’d still work.
