So my 2021 JLURD currently has 52,xxx mi and today when I went to start it, it threw all these messages about communication error to about every module. I was able to drive it somehow to the dealership and they pulled 19 codes. After about 2.5 hours of diagnosing the tech found that the TCM wiring/connector that routes over the transmission and then connects to the module in the passenger side wheel well, was laying on the exhaust and melted through causing the short. They said there was a TSB on that little plastic wire tie connector that secures it to the fire wall failing. He said the TSB talks about the wiring harness rubs and chafes but not sure if that's with other engines and not the diesel....Anyways my Jeep is only 2 years old but I put a significant amount of miles on it traveling to and from work so it's already out of warranty per the mileage. I started a case because this will be the 2nd electrical issue I've had in a month. The first was loss of communication is ABS module and the tech found a corroded wire in the ABS wiring harness that was not communicating with the Passenger Front Wheel Speed Sensor. That issue disabled my 4wd and traction control and I almost went off the road in a snow storm. Had to pay $600 out of pocket for the repair because they said I was out of warranty due to mileage. :headbang:
