Has anyone tried taking off the actual muffler and running with a pipe to the back? I'm not talking about the muffler at the DPF tank but the one in front of the rear axle.

I have a dent in my exhaust pipe from other a rock or the axle contacting it. Looking either for a true delete kit or just having a muffler shop run the pipe back.

Heh. I'm in a similar boat. Been considering a DPF-back muffler delete exhaust for a while now, mainly to save a bit of weight, but need one that will follow the path of the original exhaust tip so as to not interfere with my Next Venture DEF tank skid.

AFAIK there are only 2 commercially-available offerings, AFE and MBRP: https://www.dieselpowerproducts.com/c-2020-2023-Jeep-30L-EcoDiesel-Exhaust-Kits

All of which look like they'd interfere with the skid. So considered having a shop fab something up. Can't be too expenseive to just bend some stainless tubing and weld a hanger on there . . . right?

However . . . I just recently noticed a dent where my rear axle pinched the exhaust against the body (need more rear bump, apparently). Not too bad but has me considering if I can just chop it there. Only concern would be hot gases pooling under the vehicle if stopped for a long time but not sure how real that problem might be.
