Trouble with rear door harness

Slowly, but surely, the passenger rear door harness is becoming more and more difficult to disconnect. It seems like the little lever that you press to have it release, isn’t releasing. Anyone have this problem? Any solutions?

Rear door harness is a single push clip, which is on the male side. If it is harder to press down, then something probably stuck under the tab. Clean it out under the tab thoroughly.

If it is pressing down fully as expected, then either [1] something happened to the tab/catch; maybe try filing it down or [2] the female side [which remains in vehicle after you take doors off] might have broken in a way that it continues to "grab" the tab/catch even when fully depressed.
