Tread Lightly discount

Hello,

I just went to the tl website, and signed up using my employer’s company code. It gave me a control number right then and there, and advised me to take it to the dealership. I thought we had to pay $100 and wait 30 days. What am I missing?

Dealer will confirm you are eligible - If it's your employer's company code, they'll want to see proof of that company employing you so you may not have to wait 30 days for Tread Lightly?

I honestly have no idea. After checking out the threads here, I was under the impression you paid $100 to join, and wait the 30 days to redeem. I just want to be sure I do this correctly so I can use the discount.

That's not the tread lightly site... That's the Chrysler affiliate site. Tread lightly gives you the affiliate discount, 1% under invoice. You don't need the tread lightly discount if your company has a company code. Although, tread lightly is a good organization to support.

If you have an affiliate code through your employer and you can generate an AR number you do not need tread lightly. You are already getting the same discount through your employer.

You could join Tread Lightly, but it will not improve your discount.

I don't know what you mean by the $500 discount? If it's a specific discount with your deal/dealer, you'd have to ask them. I'd assume so... it's the same discount...

Ok, I thought for some reason or another, tread lightly was $500 off. I must be confusing it with the golden ticket offer. Plus, Kim from Conway just quoted me a price, and there was a line there for $511 off for the tread lightly program. I think I’m clear now. As long as I have the control number and proof of employment, I’m good. Thanks

I kinda worry about if tl program might be expired...since I need to another 30days to get jlu...

Yes. Nice you join it takes 30 days to get a control number. You need the control number to get the discount.

The control number is good for one year.

Do you think after 6 months or 1year, I will be able to get more than 5% under invoice price? Also another question is I dont know how long tread lightly deal will continue. Sorry for asking too much.

Tread lightly has been affiliate for years and will probably be an affiliate for years to come.

Once you join your membership is good for a year then you have to renew. So join at least 30 days before you buy but less than a year.

Tread Lightly only gets you 1% below invoice but if you use the dealers identified on this site you can get 5%-6% below invoice.

That is a good price. There is never factory support on Wranglers. I don't expect that to change. Its not like a truck where if you are patient you can get 20% below MSRP.
