My Rubicon came with the plastic bumpers and i want to add a receiver and was wondering which is best option. 1. Steel bumper with receiver built in or 2. Just add oem receiver ? Also wondering if adding steel bumper would receiver hang lower the a oem style.

Fixing stupid....
Depends on your goal / use case.

if you are just looking to use a bike or cargo carrier, or light towing, and no serious off road, go with the receiver.

if you are looking to put a LOT or weight on the receiver, go with something like the smittybilt xrc gen2 rear bumper. They support MUCH more weight on their hitch than you can do with any bolt on hitch. (Cannot remember if it is 500 or 600 lbs. i verified with them via email 2 years ago on this)
