I installed the E-trailer harness by Curt last weekend on my 2018 JLU Sahara. To be safe, I hooked everything up including running the wire to the battery on the outside of the wrangler before running the wiring inside to makes sure it works. Absolutely no issues. Installation took just over an hour. LED Tail lights, Blind Spot Monitoring, and cross traffic detection still work fine, and I towed my 02 wrangler to Alabama for a friend of mine to sell at his dealership for me, and had no problems the entire 740 mile trip. Running the wire to the battery is a must for it to work properly
