Trailer hitch ball not fitting under spare?

I went to throw my hitch ball on the trailer hitch and noticed that it doesn't extend for enough from the spare? Looks like I'll need some sort of extend hitch ball now?

**edit** I just realized it's the wrong hitch. My other one drops down a couple inches. But beware before you go on your camping trip!

You are going to want a drop hitch similar to this. Many options out there:

Yea as soon as I posted this I realized I grabbed the wrong hitch. My other Jeep ones is similar to the one above to drop it a couple inches below the spare.

Your problem is solved. I get that. But for those that have this issue, in addition to SuicideShift's suggestion, you can buy straight extension pieces that don't lower the ball's height. Do note that they decrease tongue weight limits though depending on their length.
