Hello,
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone on this forum that helped me over the past few years. Lots of good info, and tons of great pics/ideas!

It is bittersweet, but I just traded it in on a new truck. So if anyone is in or near RI, there is a pretty sweet 2 door for sale at Bald Hill Jeep right now that has less than 17k miles. (not sure if they will keep the bumpers, etc. or go back to stock)

I'm not leaving the Jeep world though , right now I am in the process of building a YJ trail rig/crawler.

This 2 door was super capable, and we did some really tough trails, and it never disappointed. We took it on five different jeep jamborees and did a bunch of 5-7 rated trails, and some fairly tough local trails as well and we just aired up at the end of the day and drove home. Pretty amazing really. It was a great rig, but we just have more fun in the older Jeeps. And day to day I am better off with a truck.

Anyway, thanks again, and keep on Jeeping. Hopefully soon there will be one of those weird square headlight Jeeps waving back at you haha!:like:

Thanks:like: The YJ will eventually be locked front and rear on 35's possibly 37's and be the trail rig/trailer queen. Can't wait to really dive into it. First is a transmission rebuild and add fuel injection.

Did you get the last of the 5.7s or the first of the Hurricanes?

What’s the recall frame stud?
There is a stud on the frame on certain 2 door JL’s that was supposed to be removed during assembly at the factory. From what I was told this stud is used for some type of alignment during the build. It is very close to the gas tank and in an accident it could rupture the tank. I had the recall done and it only took about 20 minutes. They cut it off and paint the area where it was located. Some people removed the stud on their own.

Yup. I actually did this myself to the Jeep. I did not take it in to them though so according to them it is not done.
But I did do it and also painted the area.
