Torn rear floormat

Need a sanity check here..

I went to pull a rear mat out of my '19 JLUS because some coffee had spilled on it, grabbed the middle part and pulled.. and the mat tore.. I think the end may have been caught under the leg of the seat, or maybe I had a weird angle or something - it happened super fast.. (photo attached)

I definitely didn't pull on it with any more effort than I should have to pop that fastener.. I'm just not sure if I should take this to the dealer as a warranty item, or suck it up or what..

Shouldn't tare that easily....not sure if they would warranty, but worth a try.

(seriously though, no.. lol - in fact it was before I even had my coffee, since I spilled some of it in the car.. which was the reason I was even taking the mat out in the first place)

Wow I thought the blinker switch and the rear tabs to fold down the seats were cheaply made. This takes the cake. I'd definitely try to warranty it. Tearing a floor mat should be like tearing a phone book. Extremely difficult.

Dang that sucks. You could always use this as an excuse to get the jeep mats, or whatever brand you like!
