I’ve been driving easy to moderate trails in Kanab UT, more sand than rocks. Yesterday I heard a strange noise coming from the driver side front wheel… found out the thin plastic wheel well liner was torn and flapping. I poked holes and zip tied it for now.

Anyone else experience this? I don’t recall hitting or running over anything that would have caused that. But clearly something got in there.

Has anyone ever replaced that wheel well liner? I believe it’s attached with rivets underneath the harder plastic trim. Seems like a pain to deal with those rivets.

There are some YouTube videos out there showing how the wind at freeway speeds blows the liner into the tire. Same thing happened to my drivers side liner. I’ve heard warranty will cover it, but I didn’t bother since I’m searching for inner liners that’ll give me more clearance anyway.

Ok, that’s probably what happened. The liner looks melted in some places. Probably from rubbing against the tire. Thanks!

Can someone tell me how to remove the front inner fender / wheel well liner? There are videos showing how to take the entire fender off, but I can't seem to find anything on how to remove /. replace the inner liner.
