Next week we get into the 50's again. I'll try to correct my mistake.

I'm very sad to say, I've been slacking on new pictures the last couple of years. Though I spent 2 plus months with just the bikini top and no doors I don't seem to have one picture to share.

I haven’t posted this one in a minute. This was circa 1983 east of Vida, Oregon, when it was dense forest as far as you could see. On summer days off we’d fill the cooler, grab some chow, and head out with firearms and fishing gear. We’d find remote places to wheel, fish, plink, and tell each other lies.

The back seat of my CJ-7 was removed to make room for a big Coleman cooler that I strapped to the floor. The guy with the beard (“Stinky”) had been riding on the cooler when we came opon a small tree that had fallen across the logging road. It was only about 7 or 8 inches in diameter, so I crept up to it, drove over it, and continued on. A moment later, the other guy grabbed my shoulder and said, “Stinky fell out!” Sure enough, when I looked back I saw Stinky lying on his back in the middle of the logging road. He was fine, thank God, so we continued on with our search-and-bother mission... We didn’t fully appreciate how fortunate we were that Stinky wasn’t seriously injured.

This incident is one among hundreds of near misses, where things might have turned out unimaginably bad… but for the grace of God.

Now, 40+ years later, Stinky has his own jeep. When we’re sitting by the campfire and he’s telling this story, the tree was about 12” in diameter and I hit it going about 30 mph.. And he no longer likes being called “Stinky” (if he ever did).

Being vaulted up and over the back tire caused Stinky to drop his beer. He was appropriately chastised for that.

Real nice looking 2dr JL.
I'd consider throwing on a set of either of these @Diode Dynamics offerings .....clear or smoked side markers on it.

They would look way better then the stock amber color ones that are on there.
