Watched you on Shaun’s video, amazing what you can do to a Jeep in a short time and have it perform well in just about any environment, looked like you didn’t have any problem keeping up with the long wheelbase rigs.
Mine is a 2021 , 3.6 , 8 speed automatic, goes great, I think my biggest mistake was using the mopar lift, it was model specific so I thought the spring rate would give it a better ride, also have 35x11.50 nitto ridge grapplers , e rated ( very stiff), has 54k miles on it.
There is quite a hole there, you could probably put most anything there to fill the void, I didn’t like space around the winch so I made the cover that follows the contour of the winch.
I really like this build, I’m basically on the same path, I have quite a few of the metalcloak items, I need to do the ball joints and steering next to improve on road driving, and maybe shocks to soften the ride, keep up the good work, I’ll be watching
Both of these jeeps have 35x11.50r17 nittos, also JLR has ridge grapplers, 2” mopar lift,(wouldn’t use that again, too stiff) JKR has trail grapplers, AEV 2 1/2 “ , both fit and ride relatively well.
Good luck on your sale, from past experience you will probably have to give the accessories away, but think about how many miles you have gotten from them, I had a 2016 hard rock edition 2dr JK Rubicon, drove it 100k miles, I had lift , wheels & tires (35s) had teraflex tire carrier, Bestop...
I have been torquing mine at 18 ft.lbs since my 2016 jk , 100k miles, every 4k miles, no problems . And 2 JLs and 2 gladiators later I still have never had a problem, I do lube the new o-ring, oh , the guy that bought my 16 jk has made about 5 or 6 trips to Newfoundland from Maine and I think he...
Snazzberry, that’s what is on my JLR, that is the color they should have kept around for a while, great metallic color, especially in the bright sunlight, even though I’m not really interested in purchasing a 392 , they are nice, but way out of my budget, I’ll probably have my JLR and JTM for...
I would like to see a JL 2dr version to match my 1997 TJ sport but with Rubicon drivetrain and maybe 35” tires with the correct gearing, 3.6 with an 8 speed auto, half doors and full canvas , kind of like an anniversary model.
After 25 years of driving jeeps, everything else I drive seems like there is something wrong with the handling. Don’t worry, you’ll get used to it 🤪
The new coolants they are using now will evaporate just enough so you may have to add a little probably every 3rd oil change , I’ve been doing it on my last 4 since my 2016 JK , 2 JLRs , and my JT gladiator, my dealer said it is common.
Has anyone had a problem with the passenger side seat heater coming on when you turn on the drivers side seat heater ? I do have a tazer light, and I have left it plugged in because I like that I don’t have to keep pushing the button to deactivate the stop-start feature. I did have the climate...
Mopar 2” lift, metalcloak control arms, and rear adjustable track bar, JKS front adjustable track bar, metalcloak steering stabilizer relocation kit with a fox steering stabilizer, AEV pintler wheels, 35x11.50R17 nitto ridge grapplers
Installed my metalcloak rear bumper, made a finisher panel for the metalcloak front bumper around the winch, just didn’t like the unfinished look with the holes and large opening around the winch. Gave it a good cleaning also .
