It feels like I’ve had to balance tires often in my jeep, but is this a thing of bigger tires in general; as they wear down, to need to be balanced again? I just did a rotation and the front starts the tire balance dance around 55-65, and then the rear seems to join the party from 70-85.

Next, has anyone had any luck with centramatic wheel balancers, and do they fit over the front caliper? The rear axle looks like it’ll clear but I’m scheduled to get my tires balanced again but I’m also looking potentially getting something like the centramatic.

I rotate and balance my tires every 5000 miles. Road force balancing (RFB) is the most accurate tire/wheel balancing. I take out their ROAD HAZARD POLICY, with Discount tire co. So, there is no additional charge for this, plus at my age, I don't need to be rotating these myself.

I haven’t had much luck with the discount tires around me here in orlando, the jeep shop i take it to use the heavier 1oz weights.
Last time discount did it, they used like 20 1/4oz weights lined up not really balancing anything out.

I purchased and used a set of the centramatics. They do not clear the front calipers and will require a spacer to use. You're correct that They do clear the rear caliper without requiring a spacer.

I did use mine for a little while and they did seem to help some but eventually the tires needed to be replaced. Let me know if you end up going this route because I could sell you mine and probably save you some money.

How big of a spacer is needed up front?
