I have the XXL. What roof bars did you use? Mopar?

Love the look and function. The first thing we bought For our JLUR were the Mopar rails and a Yakima box. Works great!

I installed my Thule ski box this weekend on my JLU and I went skiing yesterday ... Perfect configuration for ski fans. In addition, it can still pass through an 8-foot garage door.

Nice. I had a rhino rack on my jku but the Yakima box I have now is so
Much more practical for our needs and split second camp trip picking haha

Looks nice!
Did you find that where the bars are located on the roof it added or reduced the noise? Right now I’m having issues and wondering if it’s the Yakima Round bar and box combo or where it’s located on the roof.

thanks.

NICE! I've been looking at these, but I need something much smaller (not sure they exist!). It looks great on your ride!

I love it, is there an option that would only use about 1/2 of the roof. I would like to mount a few things on the other side.

I realize this is an older thread, but hoping some folks are still using Thule cargo boxes and can provide some advice.

I put a Thule Motion XT XL on top of our JLUR using the Thule bars (this was the same setup I used for our previous JKUR). We do have the Sky One-Touch roof.

When driving with the box on the freeway—especially over 60 mph, it’s creating some kind of wind/suction effect and the Sky One-Touch will lift off a tiny bit towards the front 1/3 (lifts up maybe 1/4-inch but you can see daylight). It’s just enough to make a reasonably quiet Jeep sound like we have the top completely open.

Any thoughts if I should move the box either more forward or more rearward to help with this? The Sky One-Touch roof otherwise works perfectly with this setup, just as stable as our JKUR’s hard top.

Photo attached.

Are you able to fit in your garage? I just measured mine and its going to be really tight. I have an8' garage door, a 2.5"lift and 35s. Just measured from by roof and i have 17.5" clearance to the top pf the door. Is there anyway you cane measure how high your box is above your roof. I would really appreciate it.
