Satin would look great and will probably be easier to maintain that the matte. Personally, I think powder-coated wheels will look really good. As already asked, make sure to post pictures if you do it!

Are the Rubicon wheels Cast aluminum? I can’t remember if I read that or not. If so I would be careful about powder coating the wheels. I personally like powder coating, but with cast aluminum it can weaken them during the baking process at some of the temps used. I think it would look great, but just do some readers about it first. Has it ever been done.... for sure, but I believe some wheel manufacturers don’t powder coat their wheels because of this.

I would double check with the shop, if you still plan to do it, what temps they bake at for aluminum wheels and what prep process they plan to use.

You can have them painted and clear coated without changing the molecular structure of the wheel.

Satin. Maybe matte but not flat...flat, to me at least, look coarse as if it is covered in brake dust.

What did you use to paint/coat the wheels? Looks great.
Dollars to donuts....PlastiDip. Search YouTube for Dip Your Car and search the channel for wheels. It is peelable spray on paint. Some will tell you it looks like ship everywhere you see it. But that's just it...you don't know a good plastidip job when you see one. Good jobs last a few years, too. Besides, it is cheap and if you mess it up or don't like the color change, you can remove it. If you do like it, you can then look for a nicer and permanent solution.

What's the recommended number of coats when using plastidip? I'm thinking of at least 4.
