Did you ask for under invoice deal? When i would try that locally they would tell me the same thing. One actually tried to sell me one over msrp claiming they're rare.

Exactly what I said. I wanted to say that I am tryna order a rubicon not a Porsche GT3 lol. I really hate when they try and BS like that, is FCA rly gonna tell the dealer they won’t accept a Rubicon order because they ordered to many?

The wrangler is Jeep's main source of income. Some dealers have the biggest stick up the you know what. They ask exuberant prices for technology and options that are still behind many cars priced half of what they ask. But at the end of the day, once Jeep released the JKU in 2007 (I bought a loaded rubi for under 30k out the door), they soon realized they tapped into the urban soccer mom, mall/grocery getting market and inflation was born. Enough of that...if you want a "deal" you can call Craig over at Koons Jeep in Virginia. He's stand up and as real as they get. He will email you quote and once you give deposit they will send your order to get built @ 5% under invoice. Good luck, even though the JLU has has price hikes and probably another one come next month when the '19 are available to order...I will order mine. Only because I love the heritage...not because I believe the product justifies the price.

take care

These dealer will lie with a smile, builds go before dealer allocation, anything over 5%below invoice is too much.

Bulls1ht, the lake elsinore jeep dealer told me that the new JLs are limited edition when I tried to order one. They are a mass production normal vehicle. Lol

While that is technically a true statement (allocations are given every month), allocations are easy to come by and in plentiful supply to the dealer. I highly doubt they would have 'trouble' securing one either if they ran out for that month. As other folks have pointed out, it is not a limited production vehicle.

Also, it seems that if you build a 'sold order' -- and not a 'dealer' stock vehicle, it does not require an allocation. Not sure if this is the case, but it would make sense given the mass production of Wranglers vs, say, an M3 or a GT3.
