I have the No-Spill drain on my JL and had them on my previous 3 trucks. All brass fittings and the hose makes for a no-mess oil change.

With a skid plate any solution will be fine. But if you don't have a skid you need something very small like this one.

My Jeep is the easiest oil change vehicle I've ever had. The only way it would be easier is someone else changing it. I'm fine with the old easy to reach drain plug. Just sayin.

For me, it's about being able to easily change the oil while on the road / in parking lots. A jug and a small hose is cleaner to carry and takes less room than an oil drain pan.

I run a short Fumoto valve under a skid plate. Haven't had a problem in 25 years.

I like the aftermarket drain systems simply to never having an issue with the drain plug threads on the oil pan getting damaged.
That being said, in over 45 years of maintaining my vehicles I have never had an issue with drain plugs leaking or failing due to messing them up.

Ahh I have a valvomax drain plug that looks just like those. It's pretty sweet. Sucks if you misplace the drain hose LOL. Yes I've done it and bought a second. Then immediately after buying the second one I found the first one. Now I have no idea where I put that one lol.

So what I'm hearing is...buy 3 right off the bat. Then, lock one up in the safe, put on in the tool box and give the third to wife to keep safe.😎
