New Sport Altitude on order from an out state dealer and I'm thinking about have it shipped vs. picking it up in person. Looking for feedback, tips or recommendations from anyone who has gone this route. Not being able to do an inspection and test drive at the dealership before taking delivery is a concern (although, I suppose a virtual walk around is possible?), as well as relying and waiting on a carrier to pick up and transport my new Jeep. TIA!

If there is a problem, the dealer may blame the shipper and the shipper will blame the dealer, but you will be stuck with it.

That being said, I work with someone that bought a used Tundra shipped from a dealer in New Hampshire to Philadelphia and had no issues.

I'm renting a car one way for the 200 mile trip to pick it up this Saturday. I for sure wanted to test drive the car I ordered. I also plan to hang around a bit in Lakeland for about an hour and 20 miles to make sure there are no issues before hitting the road back.

I would not ship it. Make a road trip out of it.
