I want to do this but I have a soft top though.. I’d rather someone just open the door vice slashing my soft top to get in.. it is what it is I guess

Great choice, as an owner of a Black Sahara you should note that the paint is very soft on these, meaning it scratches so easy and like all black vehicles you should also buy paint protection. I am having mine fully covered in Xpel paint protection, which should eliminate scratching. I love the black except for this issue. So plan to spend another $1500-$2500 for paint protection if you want it to continue to look good. I know that there are those that like trail wear and to each their own for me nothing looks better than a flawless black finish. I also considered ceramic coating however overall it is not very scratch resistant, for me the Xpel was only $500 more and certainly a reasonable value.

Did you get the paint protection at the dealer? Xpel paint protection, never heard of it but researching now. We too an all black JLU and definitely looking at protection the paint.

I am using a local shop near Seattle. I am doing the full hood, All Doors, front and rear fenders for $1500, I have decided not to USE Xpel I plan to use 3M Scotchguard Pro has a way better warranty and actually protects against damage to $3500. Watch these videos to see the comparison.

Thank you. Mopar 2in lift got 3in total..Black Rhino 17x9 -12 offset 4.5 backspace BFG KO2 317/70-17.. almost a 35 tire.. with this setup I ended up with a total height change of 6in with lift and tires..
