Installed the Dynatrac Endurosport lift and some 18x8.5 +18 offset rims with 35x12.5" Milestar Patagonia's MTs. Right now I'm sitting over 4" of lift from the stock stance. Rides amazing. Loving how it turned out. Can't wait to take it offroad.

Hmm... winch/bumper combo an option? If not, I would choose the winch then later you can say "hey I need a new bumper for that winch you got me"!

The wife and I thought it wouldn't be the holidays if we didn't go see some snow. We drove up to to Flagstaff and the snow did show up, it just did it after dark. My dad and I headed up to a lake to see if the snow would pose for some photos around sunset - no dice, it started snowing right as the sun went down. The trail was easy, but we went on a couple fun side trails while looking for a spot for photos. We spotted a herd of mule deer - about 20 including a large buck. Sadly I didn't have a good lens on my camera so I took it with my phone. The last photo was the only one I took with my camera, then we took some snow pictures back in town. The best thing about a busted photography trip - it was still a fun trip.

So many helpful posts on the JL Wrangler forum for Rubicon owners. I would like to start a thread for everyone except Rubcon owners to post your mods - so I can actually see thjngs that apply to the vihicle I own.

My wife and I both have Ocean Blue 2018 JLU Sahara's and the first this we did was lose the side steps. they tend to leave mud across the back of your legs every time you get out. I purchased the Mopar rock rails that fit nice and snug and they do protect the body, (sold both sets of steps on Craig's list in 3 days). this is my 5th Wrangler and I've never owned a Ruby. Sahara's and Sports, YJ's, TJ, JK and now JL's. I see Rubicon's as the guy that wants it already "done", but are we really ever done up grading/moding?
I replaced the plastic front bumper with a Warn Elite front bumper W/O the bar and installed a Warn Zeon Winch just in case. I love the look and it may help if I hit a deer in the Michigan wilderness (they are everywhere).
Next up are some ARB Intensity lights for the front bumper. then maybe a snorkel, that's if I can find a cowl mounted one, I'm not cutting up my hood.
I have seen in the past that Rubicon owners, when bombing down a trail, they are the ones that are afraid to break their rig and the guy in the non-ruby has to show them how it's done. I'm sure this will raise all kinds of hell among the ruby owners but it's all in fun. I've put a 4 cylinder YJ with stock wheels thru a tank trap in one shot (with the air on) that other "trail rigs" with all kinds of ground guides took over half an hour to get thru. they were all calling me "show off" after that. Bottom line the very base Wrangler is a very capable off road vehicle and it's easier to be brave when you have a lot less invested. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.
